What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Back?

I am a 28 year old female. Every couple of days I get severe crippling lower back pain. I also get constant muscle spasms in my feet and hands and also have a tremor in my hands and legs. Just try to find some ideas of what it could be. A few years ago the doctor said I had dystonia in my hand but that wouldn t explain my back and leg pain.

Hi,

The severe pain in the back can be related to a muscle sprain or an acute disc prolapse. This can be related to a mild nerve root compression also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal,
Orthopaedic Surgeon
