What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Removing A Tampon?

Hi, so I have a question about tampons. Well, I m on my period, and when I woke up I went to take out the tampon. It never hurts inserting, or removing. But after it was out, I got shooting pains when I sat down from my lower pelvic floor area, near that muscle and also my lower stomach. I nearly jumped right back up because the pain shocked me so intensely. Is this normal, what could that mean?

Hi I think you can have pelvic pain occasionally if you are having periods. But if it persists, get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist if ypu are sexually active to rule out any cervical pathology or infections. Hope it helps.
