What Causes Severe Pain In The Leg And Acid Reflux?
Hello, I am a 43 yo female. I weigh 187lbs at 5 9 . My doctor just called with my blood results. My triglycerides are at 800 and my LDL is at cardiac risk levels. My HDL could not be calculated. I eat right, mostly vegetarian. I exercise but I have been having tremendous leg pain when I do. With this I have never been able to drop weight and it s so discouraging. I also have been experiencing heartburn daily without eating anything and sometimes upon waking. I am extremely scared and do not know where to start. I will be meeting with my doctor as soon as possible.

What Causes Severe Pain In The Leg And Acid Reflux?
Hello, Your triglyceride levels are extremely high and you need to take medicines to correct it. You need to be put on Lipid-lowering agents like atorvastatin or rosuvastatin. In addition, you have to be put on triglyceride reducing agents like fenofibrate. You need to consult a nutritionist regarding your diet which will help you to lose weight in a healthy manner. For a few days, you can take an antacid like tab Ranitidine on empty stomach to prevent acidity and heartburn. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Nazma.amman, General & Family Physician
