What Causes Severe Pain In The Calf Muscles At Night?

Yes, hello. I have been experiencing gradually increasing pain in my calves, both legs. They especially hurt at night and I have experienced swelling and heat. The pain is steadily increasing and is not subsiding after taking muscle relaxers or lasik. I am afraid after looking at my symptoms that it might be blood clots.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello there. I have read through your question and can understand your concern. Your symptoms may be due to nerve compression as it may cause pain radiating towards the calves. Also there are chances of you having DVT which also causes nocturnal calf pain. I would suggest you to get an M.R.I done to rule out nerve compression. And a doppler imaging of nerves to rule out Deep vein thrombosis. I hope that answers your question. I f you have any other questions please feel free to write.
