What Causes Severe Pain In The Abdomen On The Left Side?

I had a Nissan Fundoplication done 12/16/17 I am having severe left abdominal pain nothing showing on recent CT. Pain is constant sharp, stabbing, worse with movement. No issues with urination, bowel movement. No sign/symptoms of infection. Surgeon has prescribed Valuim and Tylenol 3-these do not help and I do not like taking narcotic meds.

Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomfort

As per your clinical history is concerned please check whether you have following signs present or not-

1)Does your pain radiates to your back?

2)Does your abdominal pain feel worse after eating?

3)Do you have tenderness when you feel pain?

If yes then contact with your doctor to ruled out pancreatitis.

Hope that helps
