What Causes Severe Pain In Left Shoulder Blade While Sneezing?
Over the last month, every time I sneeze, which is very day, I have excruciating pain in my left shoulder blade. It s painful at night when I sleep. No pain meds or hot compresses help the pain. I m right handed and also a smoker. Any ideas what this could be.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in left shoulder blade while sneezing . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical spondylosis , tendinitis or angina . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic without any delay . Doctor may order nerve conduction test , check for the trigger points of the trapezius muscle if your CT scan and MRI are normal . Doctor may prescribe physical therapy at least for a week along with stretching exercises . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist surgeon for cardiac problem . For now take proper rest apply warm compresses on shoulder and neck and do not exert your body . Stretching exercises of trapezius muscle will also be helpful.
