Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is experiencing severe pain in his calf. He claims it is not muscle related nor cramps. He said the pain feels as though it is more to the bone rather than muscles and the severity of the pain increases with more activity. He does physical labor for his profession. He s had 2 tests (one ultrasound and 1 for blockage in his arteries. He has high blood pressure and was recently been prescribed 2 blood pressure pills. What suggestions for the type of doctor we should visit and any other ideas since it does not appear a cardiologist is the doctor to resolve this problem.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such pain could be muscle related only and it could be spasm or may be due to accumulation of lactic acid, or both and in my opinion it can be tried with "Tab Chlorzoxazone with Acetaminophen" once in day, have soda water three times in day, hope this information helps, take care and have nice day.
