What Causes Severe Pain In Anus Along With Blood In Stools?
Dr. Rynne, I am a 33 year old male. I am on Zoloft and Prazosine for PTSD. I am having a lot of bowl problems. I have sever pain followed by bloody stool where I will lose up to a pint or 2 of blood and become dependent on my wife to take care of me. I go to the VA and all the tell me is it s my hemorrhoids. I do not believe this is true. Can you tell me what else maybe going on and what I can have my doctor check me for? I served 12 1/2 years in the military. I am starting to wonder if I need to be checked for cancer since it does run heavy in my family. I am concerned for my health due to I have 2 children of my own and I am helping to raise my 3 step children. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Wallace Campbell
Hi, From history it seems that there might be having Fissure in ano producing severe pain followed by bowel and bleeding occurs. There is another possibility of having hemorrhoids with infection as you got sever bleeding. Consult surgeon and get examined. Avoid constipation and spicy food. Take plenty of water. Ok and take care.
