Hello and thank you for the question! There are a lot of causes that cause rib pain cage, which can occur immediately upon injury, or develop slowly over time. The most common causes are:injuries to the ribs, broken ribs, osteoporosis which affect the bones, muscle spasms, inflamed rib cartilage etcc.Usually the pain gets bigger when breathing in or moving into a specific position.I would advice you to use analgezics to control the pain, but if you consider that the pain is getting more severe, than you have to consult a doctor because you may need to have X-Ray and other specific tests! Best regards!
