What Causes Severe Pain And Burning Sensation Below The Right Rib Cage?

Female ; Have had stabbing pain below right rib cage, with abdominal distension and peritonitis symptoms/ rigid rib cage - severe pain and had it for the last 4 years. gets worse around ovulation and menstruation but sometimes is neglible. 3 weeks every month in pain and then it subsides although pain still there. electric type shocks over belly button and from below rib cage that go throughout the body and down the arms.. Peritonum?(navel) feels on fire on the inside mainly all the time. Worse when eating. stabbing pain gets worse when food goes in mouth!!! Burning sensation now in stomach area, but may be a result of tablets rather than the initial cause.

In my opinion, you are mostly having gastritis and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
Your symptoms are typically worsening during ovulation and menses (stress related) and after eating food.
So all these favours gastritis and GERD more.
So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Start pantoprazole tablet on empty stomach.
5. Quit smoking and Alcohol if you have these habits.
6. Go for walking after meals.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
