My mother has had chronic night sweats over the last 2.5 weeks; is extremely fatigued and can barely get out of bed. Prior to that she was extremely active. She also has lost 7 lbs. over the last week. She has no appetite. I took her in and her blood count is at 10, and she is diagnosed as anemic, but she keeps complaining that the right side of her throat hurts and it may be a little swollen. Should we be checking for something else?
