What Causes Severe Nausea And Vomiting After Every Meal?

For the past couple of months when I eat in minutes I get a soured stomach and have thrown up nearly every meal. I take Protonix, but this situation is becoming embarrassing. Two months ago I can t MRSA resurfaced and I was given two 10 day right undos of Bactrum. The situation seemed to take place after I was finished with my last round of the antibiotic. It seemed as if the walls of my stomach were blistered. I have to take Miralax every day because I have to take Ranexa each day for Angina after a heart attack. Can you please advise as to what this could be? I took 150 mg of Zantac today and 1000 mg of Tums just to keep a meal down. I was able to eat some mashed potatoes and the inner portion of some meatloaf. As yet, I feel like I will throw up my food if the take even the smallest amount.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of severe nausea and vomiting after every meal which is a very common problem due to excessive production of acid leading to acid reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease. I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy meal specially at night. Eat at least one hour before going to bed, take a light walk for 15-20 mins after every meal. You should take antacid after every meal like gelusil. Treatment of acid reflux depend upon taking medicine and alteration in lifestyle. You should take plenty of fluids. You should avoid intake of outside food. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history . Doctor may prescribe laxative , anti emetic drug , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. You should avoid food like sea food and nuts , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down. Drink green tea twice a day and take probiotics food like yogurt.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
