What Causes Severe Nasal Congestion, Dark Sputum And Throat Soreness?

I am approaching 2 weeks of a severe cough producing a dark gray/green mucas in significant volume. I also have a headache....sores in my throat.....significant nasal congestion, low fever, chills. Is this something for which I need a doctor s appointment? Or can I medicate it with over the counter remedies and if so which ones?

Hello,

Causes for burning sensation and sneezing are:-
1) Throat infection
2) Tonsillitis
3) Pharyngitis, laryngitis
4) Sinusitis
5) Viral fever and many more
You can take tablet azithromycin and tablet Cheston cold after consultation. You can use Nasoclear nasal drops. Do steam inhalation, and warm water gargles three to four times a day. Treatment depends upon underlying condition. Kindly follow with a detailed history or consult with ENT surgeon.
