What Causes Severe Muscle Cramping And Pain After Stressing Abdominal Muscle?

I have pain in my left abdomen.....it is sore after what feels like a severe muscle cramp. The skin is numb in the same area. I have had this off and on for a long time. This week the cramp/tear came during a yoga session. It usually happens at times when I am stressing my abdominal muscle.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the pain is worse with stress to the abdominal muscles then it is likely related to strain or spasm of the muscle in this area.

The use of an anti inflammatory pain killer such as ibuprofen/cataflam or naproxen may help.

You also need to decrease or stop any activity that would be aggravating the injury.

If it continues then you may need to see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
