What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain Along With Vomiting, Diarrhea And Fever?

Hello. I woke up this morning with multiple signs and symptoms of a possible kidney stone including severe pain from lower back to the groin on both sides, vomiting, diarrhea, fever. After a few hours, all symptoms subsided then I had body chills and hives on my wrists which went away in a few minutes. Is there any need to follow up with a doctor or have any kind of tests? I feel fine now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to gastroenteritis.

I suggest using Imodium to treat diarrhea.

I also suggest using Tylenol for fever.

I recommend taking daily probiotics and eat a helpful diet. I suggest drinking liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
