Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Lower Abdominal Pain On The Left Side?
I have sharp pains on my left side of my ovary and sometimes on my right. I m not sure if my periods are irregular. But I have loss a bit of weight, not sure if it is due to that I started exercising or that I loss my appetite. I have been to the doctors and did an ultrasound and a blood test and they said it is clear. I am trying to understand what my pains are and where they are coming from. Haven t done a pregnancy test yet.
I need to know which type of pain you have like dull ache or sharp shooting pain. I need to know since how long you have this pain means duration of pain. If you have during menstruation than it could be related to spasm for which anti spasmodic can be prescribed
If you have sharp or constricting pain then a stone has to be ruled out by a CT scan like higher report.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
