What Causes Severe Leg Pain While Having Degenerative Disc Disease?

I have leg pain, both legs, right at the point where the buttocks and leg join. I have 3 deteriating disks, but also fell flat on feet and then dropped to my bottom from about 4 feet...about 3 days ago. Could it be a pinched nerve or what. Doesn t hurt when sitting or not moving,. Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, the possibility of nerve root compression is more likely.

So better to consult an orthopedic doctor and get done a clinical examination of spine and MRI of the lower spine.

MRI will tell you if there is nerve compression. It will also tell you if there is fracture or dislocation because you have the history of fall so fracture can also be possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
