What Causes Severe Knee Pain While Standing?
Hi, my wife has MS progressive. One main problem is that when she stands to work in her kitchen which she loves to do, her right leg hyperextends at the knee. Some pain results after standing in this position. I am wondering if you could prescribe a suitable knee brace to hold the knee in a stable position that still allows her to do her work. It would have to be comfortable, light weight and easy to apply. Thanks. Charley Tonkin

Yes get a long knee brace with angle locking mechanism.
Ask her to wear only while standing and fix the angle to 5 degree of flexion.
if she has discomfort walking she can wear that while walking also
