Hi,
When it comes to itchiness on face in a 1 1/2 month old baby, first diagnosis considered is the atopic status of baby. For that you need to moisturize baby a lot as this condition is going to persist for quite a long time as moisturization helps a lot.
Babies can get acne also, mostly due to circulating maternal hormones, which starts subsiding on their own within 3-4 months. Still you can start using clindamycin gel to be applied once a day as using topical steroids (Hydrocortisone) can worsen the condition.
I hope this will be helpful to you.
