What Causes Severe Headaches After A Thyroid Surgery?

Hi! I m currently in the hospital, I had thyroid surgery 2 weeks ago and I went home and started having severe headaches and then my eye started to cross. Just my left one though. It started to point inwards. So I went to the emergency room and had a MRI and they found a massive blood clot in my juggular. And my eye is crooked because that pressure went to my forehead behind my eyes and made it swollen. From a doctor s point of few, will my eye get better? It has very bad double vision in it and it seems like it s doing better. But will it go back to normal??

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests massive clot in the jugular with severe symptomatology, needs extensive ICU management with an observation of the clot size and surgical intervention with high risk in non-responsive cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
