Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. The headache occurring more in lying position could be due to

: Sinusitis - It can give rise to throbbing headache, along with heaviness, more on lying down/forward bending, associated with nasal blockade/post nasal discharge/throat pain, pain around eyes.

If you are having such type headache, it is due to it. Management includes
: Avoid cold objects and environment
: Take warm or hot liquids
: Steam inhalation 4-5 times daily
: Warm saline nasal drops every 2 hour
: You can take combination of Paracetamol-Cetrizine-Xylometazoline after proper prescription
: You can take antibiotic therapy like Co-amoxyclav after proper prescription.
: Consult doctor if still no relief

: Tension headache - It is one of the most common type of headache. But it is dull aching, band like tightness around head, more on lying/bright light/stress, may cause neck pain, can occur for hours.

If you headache is like this, it can be managed by
; taking rest
; avoiding bright light
; reduce mental and physical stress
; take 8 hour proper sleep
; take break after very hour while working on laptop or computer
; you can take painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription

: Chronic fatigue - It can cause neck pain and headache due to fatigue. But symptoms appear maximum while working.

for relief, you should
; take a break from work
; get neck and head massage
; take painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
; you can consult physiotherapist for neck exercise

Hope it will help you. If still no relief, you can consult doctor.

Thanks. Take care.
