What Causes Severe Headache, Neck Pain And Body Ache?

Hi, I never get headaches and, effective 3 days ago, I have been getting severe headaches, neck pain, and body pain (feels like I ve been run over by a truck. ) I ve also been constipated and gassy (belchy, mostly.) I don t have a fever. I ve been getting mosquito bites for weeks, and thought I could have Zika? i just finished amoxicillin 500 mg tid (gum infection.) Any ideas?

Hello,

You have a history of getting mosquito bites for a couple of weeks. Since now you are having symptoms of severe headache, neck pain & generalized body ache you are suggested to visit ER & get physically examined.

Get CBC, Blood glucose, blood cultures, proteins, procalcitonin tests done to rule out Mosquito bite infections & encephalitis. To rule out Zika infection get NAT & serological tests done.

Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected.
