What Causes Severe Headache After Taking Eliquis Tablet?

I have been taking Eliquis for 3 weeks, and since the first week, I have had a headache every day. I didn t think much of it at first since it was a frontal headache, but even tylonel is not relieving these headaches and I think it is from the Eliquis.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe headache after taking Eliquis tablet . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are due to side effects of medicine eliquis . Eliquis is used to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot in people with a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation , which sometimes cause headache as side effect . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for headache .
