What Causes Severe Head Rushes?

For about 10 months now I have been experiencing what feels like intense head rushes. The more time goes by the more intense they get. Lately they are so frequent that along with them I start to feel very weak and disoriented. I check my sugar and blood pressure and they are both good. I thought maybe it was dehydration so I started drinking less caffeine and more water, and completely changed my diet to fresh healthy foods. I thought maybe anxiety attacks so my doctor put me on Busbore 15 mg 3 times a day. I have seen a neurologist, and it doesn t seem neurological. Is their anything else that maybe could explain them. ???

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would like to know more about your symptoms:
-Do you experience pain like electric shock in your head or face?
-Is the pain triggered by anxiety?
-Do you have other symptoms like blurring vision?

Trifeminal neuralgia can not be excluded.

Anyway, I recommend performing a brain MRI to help exclude other possible causes.

If the pain is triggered by anxiety and is not like electric shock, I would recommend starting an antidepressant.

Otherwise, an antiepileptic would be needed.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Wishing all the best, Dr. Aida
