What Causes Severe Hand Spasms And Finger Cramps?

Hi, I have been having severe hand spasms and my fingers cramp up so bad I can t move my hand or fingers then I get really bad pain in my hand and goes up to my write. I can t move any of my fingers when this is happening and my hand starts to shake. This just started last week and it happens about 4-5 times a day. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Deficiency of vitamin D and low calcium level in blood can give such symptoms. Vitamin B12 deficiency is another cause. Nerve entrapment syndromes should be ruled out also. A physical examination by orthopedician is well appreciated for this. Vitamin D and B12 level in blood should be checked also. If low then taking supplements of those will be helpful.
Hope this may help you.Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
