What Causes Severe Hair Loss After Suffering From Dengue?

hello, I am kartik from India and i am 25 years old. Its been almost 8 months since I recovered from dengue fever, but from past few months my hair from the front portion of my head has started falling rapidly and I can see my scalp wen I apply oil or have a head bath and its looks pretty bad and I am very much worried about this negative progress . I never had such problems before . The hair treatments are too costly and I am in a dilemma weather to go for it. please suggest me with positive answers . thank you

1. Although dengue has no direct effect on hair follicles but it do cause hair loss indirectly by causing telogen effluvium [temporary interruption of the growth cycle of hairs], so in best interest consult your primary healthcare physician or check with a Dermatologist who will examine your scalp and hair loss pattern to discuss further possibilities and treatment options

2. till then, you can follow the line of management as:
. After bath make sure you avoid vigorous toweling of hair, let them dry naturally.
. Make less choice for synthetic hair oils, hair coloring, bleaching, styling and use of dry blowers.
. Avoid excessive exposure to sun, heat, wind, dust, anger, stress, anxiety,
. Avoid oily, fried, spicy, hot, fermented and stale food.
. Proteins are essential for antibodies production so milk, egg (white), beans, yogurt, soymilk, pumpkin, squash,watermelon,peanuts,almonds, if non-vegetarian (meat) are choices
. mango, carrots, cantaloupe, egg yolk,apricots,pumpkin,papaya, are ideal
. Vitamin C: is needed for proper functioning of immune system: amla is good option.
. Vitamin E: is a powerful anti oxidant thus peanuts, dried apricots, cooked spinach taro root can be taken
. Soap nut (reetha) and shikakai along with Bhringraj and Neelini oil acts as natural conditioner and dye, you can use it safely.
