What Causes Severe Flatulence And Abdominal Pain Post Radiotherapy For Cervical Cancer?

hi i ve had abdominal radiotherapy (internal and external, plus chemo) for cervical cancer and now (8 months later) i have a farting and bm issue. at first, during and after treatment, i had daily diarhea and difficulty burbing leading to stomach pain. however after using pre- and probiotics my movements were really improving. however, early march i developed an incredibly painful bladder infection (bringing me to my knees literally on a regular basis) and my doctor prescribed me oxycodin... Now, whenever i put any food in my mouth, within a minute i have very painful cramps, followed by lots of flatulence and a superslow bm. Note that this flatulence starts out with a sharp pain, then a lot of noise (inside, as it moves down) and finally relief. The bm is slow and painful, but when eventually passed, stool is normal soft and brown, though on occasion very little and raisin sized. I stopped taking the probiotic as it increases the amounts of times i have to go, which is already a lot. I have shifted my diet to include more fiber and cut out as much gas-producing foods as possible without making eating unbearable again. Can you please advise? my next doctor appointment is next week, but I would appreciate the opportunity to educate myself on this.

Radiotherapy to the pelvic area usually causes Diarrhoea,Irritable bladder (or radiation cystitis),Feeling sick,Bleeding from the vagina after internal radiotherapy,Soreness and redness of your vulva or back passage
diarrhoea is the most common problem for which low fibre diet is helpful. peppermint or chamomile tea helps to reduce abdominal or wind pain.
plenty of liquids (except alcohol and caffeinated drinks) to replace fluids lost is required. spicy and greasy foods are to be avoided, as these can make diarrhoea and constipation worse.
Lymphoedema-
If lymph nodes have been damaged or removed during surgery, lymph fluid may not drain properly from legs causing the fluid to build up and the legs to swell, called lymphoedema. This can occur during treatment or after treatment has finished. Gentle exercise, compression stockings, and a type of massage called manual lymphatic drainage can all help to reduce the swelling.
menopause -symptoms are hot flushes ,mood swings ,trouble sleeping (insomnia) ,tiredness ,vaginal dryness.
symptoms of sudden menopause are usually more severe than a natural menopause. and this leads to increased risk of osteoporosis and heart disease. for these one has to maintain healthy balanced diet, lots of fruit and vegetables, low fats and salt, and daily light exercise like walking for 30min.
A lack of interest in sex or loss of desire is common because of the physical and emotional effects of treatment. If you do not feel like having sexual intercourse, or if you find it uncomfortable, let your partner know.
frequent small easily digested food is better than 3 big meals.you can take supplements tablets after consulting your dr.
