What Causes Severe Discomfort Below The Knee Of The Right Leg?

Dear doctor I am 73 year old male. I have have the problems in right leg below the knee i am not able to walk much even my body goes to rt.side much i can stand few minuts only. My body balance also less i have to wait for some body to help me for climbing or cross the road. Giddi ness is not there.No suger,NoBP. Rajan

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe discomfort below the knee of the right leg .Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like haematoma , lipoma , fibroma , cellulitis and abscess.

I would suggest you to clean the lump with soap and normal water , apply warm compresses and take benadryl twice a day . You should apply antibacterial ointment such as betnovate on it twice daily.

If it doesn't get better then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may check the consistency . Doctor may drain the lump , prescribe antibiotics , anti allergic and anti inflammatory . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory or recommend physical therapy .
