What Causes Severe Dehydration?

68 YEAR OLD LADY DEHYDRATED HAS HAD 4 IVS IN LAST 6 DAYS AT ER. WEIGHT IS 104 LBS HOW OFTEN CAN YOU DO IVS. NOT TESTING FOR WHY SHE IS DEHYDATED. HAS HIGH BP AND DID THE PREP FOR A COLONOSCOPY BUT DIDN T GO SAID WAS TOO WEAK TO GO. SINCE THIS TIME SHE HAS BEEN DEHYDRATED.

Hi,

Maybe taking too much of diuretics (prescribed when with high blood pressure) can dehydrate.

Also, knowing that age was doing a colonoscopy she may have used too many laxatives and didn't drink or eat anything.
