What Causes Severe Cramps In The Abdominal Region?

Hello , I have just reviewed the 10 points to look out for ,in women during a Heart attack . I have ,what I thought was cramps or gas in my stomach region . The cramping motion starts if I bend over, I have even witness my stomach roll upwards . When I press down it alleviates the pressure . This happens frequently if I attempt t pick up anything n the couch or floor. Could you assist? Can this be stress ?

Hi,

Its because of over stretching of your abdominal (muscles supporting internal organs). One advice I would like to give is just bend through your knees and not from your back to pick anything from floor or couch.

* Avoid over exertion and over lifting.
* Have rest on hard surface.
* Take calcium rich food milk, milk products, banana, pulses, broccoli.
* Take more fluids.
* Have enough sleep and rest.
* Last but on Least BE STRESS FREE.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meeta Asnani
