Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having severe cramping in my upper legs that are almost paralyzing but never on both legs at the same time. I walk it out but last night It took almost 10 minutes for the cramping to stop. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and stretch and my foot contracts with same type of pain. I am hydrated, eating enough potassium and magnesium. What can be causing this?

What Causes Severe Cramping In My Upper Legs?
Hello, It may be due to dehydration. Still for further assessment you may require complete hemogram, serum electrolytes, venous doppler after surgeon consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. Keep your self hydrated. Avoid strenuous activity Hope I have answered your query... Let me know if I can assist you further.
