What Causes Severe Cough And Streaks Of Blood In The Phlegm?
Hello, I'm 44 year old male. I am normally a healthy person but I was diagnosed with pneumonia a little over two weeks ago. I went on antibiotics which helped my fever. I still am coughing 24/7 with a rumbling feeling in my chest being present now. Some of the phlegm has a slight presence of blood streaks. I feel as though my cough is getting worse with some of the time being an uncontrollable & unstoppable. If my fever has returned to normal is there any reason why I should go back in to get evaluated?
As per your complain you have problem cough and blood phlegm that because of pneumonia.
Do a sputum culture test and start antibiotics under doctor's suggestion. Complete a course of antibiotics. Drink more water. Avoid spicy food, chilled food and fry food. Repeat a blood test to check infection status. Consult a pulmonologist for further treatment.
I hope this will help you. Get well soon.. Thank you.
