I have a 46 year old female, with a severe cough that produces a clear thick liquid like substance. The cough is so severe that she vomits from the gagging from this substance. After the coughing episode she is weak and breathing is shallow. Episodes start again when lying on either side,when level of activity is increased, and even when talking. Each episode lasts 5-10 minutes, at least three times a day.
