What Causes Severe Cold With Tingling Sensation In The Body?

I ve been experiencing a severe coldness with tingling down the left side of my body. My skin is NOT cold to the touch but feels refrigerator cold internally. This all started weeks ago with two toes on my left foot feeling semi-numb and tingling. Then it progressed to tingling down my left leg, then my left arm. Now my entire left side feels icy cold and tingling. Delete

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Coldness in the half of the body means there's is a lesion in the tract of the spinal cord that carries temperature (lateral spinothalamic tract) seen in spinal cord compression.

Other possibilities like thalamic lesions or infections or sepsis or hypotension or autonomic neuropathy etc.

Please get it done MRI brain and spine, serum electrolytes, blood sugar, hemoglobin and B12 status. Then consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
