What Causes Severe Back Pain Inspite Of Taking Hydrocodone?
I have horrible back pain and my primary care put me on hydrocodone. It worked perfect until last week he decided to stop them because he said I have been on them to long. Hello, I can t get out of bed, stand I could go on but don t know how to find something that works half as good. P.S. I have tried ALL drugstore versions and O/C. I was out back and stumbled and landed on my tail bone right on the cement. I don t know how long I layed there until I could finally force myself up. OUCH!!

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe back pain inspite of taking Hydrocodone . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lifting something heavy , poor posture , being overweight , smoking or trigger points of trapezius muscle . Disc problem or cervical spondylosis can also cause such symptoms .I would suggest you to avoid lifting heavy weight , apply warm compresses , take proper rest , do light trapezius stretching and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get better then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray or CT scan and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and physical therapy and light stretching under exepert .
