What Causes Severe Ankle Swelling And Bruising After A Fall?

I rolled my ankle 2 weeks ago with swelling, bruising all the way to my toes and up ankle bone onto leg. I have to limp to walk. Bruising a little better and swelling better. Still pretty swollen on ankle bone. Could a fracture have been missed on xray

Most of the time if no fracture is visible on x-ray the reason for swelling and bruising is soft tissue injury. Dont worry our weight bearing joints take longer time to heal. Take good pain killer tablet like diclofenac sodium and also apply diclofenac gel on the joint. Keep it warm and take rest. You can have your MRI scan done if you have a suspicion that something is missed.
