What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain?

Ive had severe abdominal pain on and off for the past week and im wondering what it could be. The first couple days I thought it was constipation but my BMs have been fairly regular. The pain is sometimes so intense that I feel nauseous and/or end up throwing up.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests various possible issues as
- gastric upset
- digestive enzyme disturbances
- gall bladder calculus or other problems
- biliary drainage obstacles
- others

I would request a prescription of an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis for further diagnosis and management, because until the reason is found, one can not fix the issue.

Wish this information will help you. Do feel free to ask further doubts.
