What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain During Periods?
hi am 20years lady old,i have been having my periods and lately been gettin abdominal pains sometimes which cause difficulty in breathing.At first thought i was pregnant then did a pregnancy test and it came negative. I ended up doing a abdominal scan which shows a non gravid anteverted uterus measuring 48mmx32mmx34mm and enometrial plate appears a thin strip and pouch of douglas appeared fluid free. What does this mean?

The ultrasound pelvis is within normal limits. Fluid in pouch of Doughlas is suggestive of ovulation. Pain in the abdomen can be due to some other cause like indigestion, organomegaly etc. Pain during menstruation is spasmodic pain due to spasm in uterus called dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea can be managed with anti-spasmodic drugs.
