What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Bloating?
My husband, 54, has had cough and cold past 5 days. lots of tea and cold medicine and not much food. tonight we went to dinner, first time eating in days- has unbearable gas pains and sharp stomach cramps. no diarrhea. feels like hernia pains perhaps?

A doctor should do a physical examination of the abdomen.
He can do even an ultrasound. If he has hernia , incarceration is possible.
Also appendicitis is suspected. The viral flu state is just a coincidence.
