What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Bloating While On Ismet?
hi, I m 60 years old and i am a diabetic since 35 years. I have started taking ismet 1000mg for my sugar recently. I am having severe stomach aches and bloating. I did not have stomach pains and acidity earlier. I walk every morning and do excessive exercise. Now this condition is not permitting me to do so. kindly let me know your inputs on this.
It seems most likely due to diabetes medicine which you are taking. It's one of the most common side effects relating to Metformin. Using it between meals it decreasing dose to 500 mg with adding any other one along it like sitagliptin etc may be helpful. Using motility agents like domperidone and antacids like omerperazole with current symptoms will help.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
