What Causes Severe Abdominal Bloating?

I have symptoms of severe gas or something that feels like it comes from my stomach up my esophagus in the morning. It is so severe that it feels like it spreads across my chest and into my arms, both left and right. Went to hospital and was checked for heart failure. Have taken Nexium for relief but what is the problem?

Hello,

You may have a gastroesophageal reflux problem. Use proton pump inhibitor drugs in this condition. Mention after taking this drug you feel relieved or not.

Avoid spicy food, coffee, gaseous food, chocolate, and fatty food. Avoid immediate sleeping after taking a meal. Elevate your head at sleeping time. Consult a gastroenterologist for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rachana Goswami
