What Causes Several Bumps On Back Of Tongue With No Pain?

I have several bumps on the back of my tongue with no pain but I also have a bump on the front of my tongue on the right side about an inch back. Just infront of that bump on the tip of my tongue I am feeling like i ate something hot and it burned although I do Not recall doing that. It has been there for about a wk. any thought as to what this could be?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have got swollen Circumvallete Papillae that are present in the back one third of tongue and the there is also Inflammation of the front of the tongue at the tip and can occur due to burning with hot or chemical containing liquids, allergies, Oral infections, Dry mouth, Deficiencies of iron and Vitamin B12 etc..
Nothing to worry, you can gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine, gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia, take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, suck ice pops and do cold water rinses,
Drink plenty of fluids, take soft diet, avoid spicy foods and chew sugar free chewing gum..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily for 15 days..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
