General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

* Long term intake of tegretal can be a cause of receptor desensitization which are controlling GABA and other neurotransmitters at the brain level, which affect the seizure threshold.

* She requires an alteration in antiepileptic drugs after discussion with her treating physician.

Vomiting needs tablet Ondansetron ( 4 mg ) to be taken on an empty stomach with sips of water 3 times a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
