What Causes Seizure Like Symptoms After Intense Coccyx Pain?

My 33 year old son experiences occasional seizure like symptoms since injuring his tailbone in a fall when he was about 16. It begins with a severe pain at his tailbone that usually wakes him from sleep, but not always. The pain becomes more and more intense until he loses consciousness for usually a minute or less then regains consciousness and is extremely tired for the rest of the day. This happens every few months with no real pattern and with no apparent onset.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Thanks for asking. I have read & understood your concern.
Injury to tailbone is liable to extreme pain because-
Fracture / trauma to one of the small 5 bone which makes the tail bone or coccyx.
Pressure on coccygeal plexus of nerves .. which supplyies lower limb & genital ( most sensitive part of body ) as well as rectal & urinary parts of body.
THe sudden movement after waking up in morning causes movement at fracture sight/ pressure on nerves .. to cause un bearable pain.. so much intense as to loss consciousness (as described by you.)
Treatment is pain management by medicines, local steroid injection./ physiotherapy, surgery in some cases.
thanks.
