What Causes Scabs On The Penis?

I once used a latex glove as a sex toy but after I used it I started to bleed from the head of my penis. After a day I peeled of a thin layer of skin that had formed over the head of my penis and after a week I noticed cracks and wrinkles that had formed on the head of my penis. During this time, 2 scabs formed on my testicles and the texture and appearance of the scabs looked the same as the scabs on my penis. Was there a chemical or substance in the glove that caused these scabs?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The scabs can occur due to allergic reaction or infection like herpes. A clinical examination and tzanck smear testing can differentiate between allergy or infection. So please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
