What Causes Scabies All Over The Body Despite Taking Antihistamine?

Hi myself and step daughter have a rash all over our bodies. Extremely itchy. Have met with 3 doctors and a pharmacist. Have been told scabies and hand foot and mouth and also a virul infection. Have had scaby treatment and strong antihistamine. Now 5 weeks on still extremely itchy and getting worse. Its from head to toe. Blister like on our hands and the rest of our body is small red bumps. Can you help please

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain itchy rashes on your and daughter's body can be due to causes like:
-Any bug or insect bite that was toxic enough to cause generalised allergic reaction..
-It can also be due to Mite infestation causing Scabies..

I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests and microscopic examination of the scrapings from bumps can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case if it is an allergic reaction anti allergics like Allegra or benadryl, steroids and also injection of steroid for faster resolution along with steroid ointment and cool compresses over red bumps can help..

In case of Scabies oral Ivermectin and topical Premethrin lotion can help in relief..
