What Causes Scab Formation On The Moles After A Sunburn?

I went to the beach a few days ago and got a sunburn on my stomach. I have two moles that are perfectly round on my stomach that I have had for all of my life. After the sunburn they had scab like coatings on them, is this normal after a sunburn or is it cancerous and or melanoma?
