Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am recently (the last week or so) experiencing salty taste in my mouth and lips. I am 54, female, have post-nasal drip (the last 30 years), take Zoloft. I also have bottom braces and use whitening toothpaste. Obviously I have read what may cause salty taste in mouth but am curious as to how long it normally lasts? Should I be overly concerned and go to my dentist or my GP?
HI Well come to HCM If this is salty test in mouth then this could be due some blood or pus and this could be due to dental infection and this need to be ruled out first and for that better to see the dentist, have a nice day.
