What Causes Running Nose, Cough And Watery Eyes While On Losartan?

I have been taking 25 mgs of Losartan 10 PM and 12.5 mg 10 AM for one month. I have developed URI symptons, running nose, cough, watery eyes and fatigue. One episode of minor angina and breathing issues sometimes during the night when I get up and use Albuterol ProAir HFA which was prescribed a year ago for another mild condition given PRN up to three times a day. On Losartan, I have needed ProAir more. Thank you.

Thanks for posting on HCM
The symptoms you present may be be related to Losartan.It is probably a respiratory tract infection.Most of the infections are caused by respiratory virus and symptomatic management only will do.However, bacteria infection or superinfection are possible but rare.I will suggest you take a mucolytic like carbocysteine.You may continue ProAir if obstructed and breathless, clean your nose frequently, avoid cold, use a humidifier in your room.If the symptoms persist, you may see a Doctor for examination to rule out a possible lung infection.
