What Causes Rough Areas Under The Tongue And Inside The Lower Lip?

I'm 35 yr old female..this past week I've de developed rough areas under tonge and inside lower lip. there is no change in appearance just the texture
the area under tonuge has some small improvement but not inside the lower lip...it happened gradually over about 3 days...thoughts? ??

As per your query roughness under tongue and inside of lower lip with no gross change in appearance seems to be commonly due to mild reaction of the mucosal surfaces to either some very hot or hard food, sour or spicy food, any mild allergic reaction to any food product or other things like toothpaste or Medication etc..
If there is no other finding, you need not to worry as the roughness will resolve soon by taking a few precautions like taking soft bland diet, doing warm saline gargles..
If you do not see improvement in a week, consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
